Natural Dye “Kusaki-zome” 草木染め Workshop
by Yurika Saito

Experience Kusaki-zome, a traditional Japanese natural dyeing technique.

In this workshop, you will create patterns on fabric, then simmer it in a pot to dye the red onion colors.
We will use everyday materials such as red onion skins from restaurants.

Using tie-dye Shibori techniques, you will create your own unique patterns.

By learning how to dye with easily accessible natural ingredients, you can try it at home and incorporate the cycle of nature into your daily life.
